Lisa Palanca is a Michigan native who spent her childhood living on Lake Michigan. The love of reading has been ever present for her. From reading to her daughters, Chelsea and Alyssa as children to sharing books with friends, book clubs, and students.

A Michigan teacher for over thirty years, Lisa spent early retirement mentoring early career teachers with her non-profit Palanca Leadership. A pandemic ended the business, so Lisa did the next best thing. She began the journey of crafting her own stories mainly from ideas garnered from personal experience.

Still living on the banks of the big lake, Lisa became an author of fiction novels. Her writing is meant to be interesting, thought provoking, and savored, like a decadent dessert.
